Field Rules
We welcome you to Los Osos Middle School and South Bay Soccer. In order to make your participation here a pleasant and safe experience we ask that you adhere to the following rules and guidelines.

SBSA leases the fields from San Luis Coastal School District and as such must adhere to ALL of their Policies.

NO DOGS allowed on school grounds at any time. If you bring an animal you will be asked to restrain your animal in the dirt parking lot or place it in your vehicle. Guide dogs and identified service animals are exempt.

NO PARKING is permitted along South Bay Boulevard; CHP will cite parking violations to any vehicles parked illegally.  Parking is available in the school parking lot on the north side of the fields with additional parking available on the south side directly adjacent to the field in the unimproved dirt lot. Handicap parking spaces are reserved in the school parking lot. Special parking arrangements for individuals of special needs can be made by contacting the SBSA President prior to game day or by speaking with a SBSA Board Member on the field.

NO SMOKING is permitted on school grounds. Individuals smoking will be asked to leave the playing fields.

VENDORS must be approved by the SBSA Board before they are allowed on the fields.

The put-up and take-down of the nets is the responsibility of the home team but you are welcome to assist if you desire.

Trash receptacles are provided on the field for your convenience. Each team is responsible for leaving the field in the condition in which they found it by removing all trash, including water bottles and after game snack wrappers and boxes.

South Bay Soccer uses quarter substitution on all divisions below U-14; if in doubt please ask the referee on the field prior to game time. A break of approximately one minute will be provided for the purpose of substitution, the clock does not stop.

South Bay Soccer utilizes youth referees in all age brackets. The youth referees are all USSF certified Grade 8 referees and have undergone 2 day certification and testing, and annual recertification. Our Referees are instructed to have the respective Coaches control themselves and spectators on their sidelines. If the Coach cannot place himself or his spectators under control in a reasonable time our Referees are instructed to terminate the match, in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
